Facilities Main Characteristics:
- Deep-water towing tank with dimensions of 200 m x 16 m x 6.5 m, equipped with a towing carriage with maximum motion speed of 6 m/s and, wavemaker for regular and irregular waves and large amplitude planar mechanism;
- Shallow water towing tank with dimensions of 200 m x 16 m x (0 ÷ 1.5) m with towing carriage with maximum speed of 6 m/s and large amplitude planar mechanism;
- Maneuvering and seakeeping basin measuring 60 m x 40 m x (0 ÷ 2.5) m, ultrasonic system for trajectory registration of autonomous models and wavemaker for regular and irregular waves;
- Waveform hydrotechnical basin for coastal hydrodynamic studies measuring 20 m x 17 m x 0.5 m;
- Open water areas for large scale models: 170 m x 160 m;
- Cavitation tunnel with two measuring sections (small working section measuring 0.5 m x 0.5 m with water velocity up to 14 m/s minimal cavitation index 0.2 and large working section measuring 1.5 m x 0.7 m);
- Subsonic aerodynamic wind tunnel with working section measuring 0.5 m × 0.8 m and a flow rate of 66 m/sec.
