NATO/RTO’s SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARD ‘2012 was presented to a team led by Prof. Evgeni Milanov as a part of the Workgroup AVT-161 for ‘CFD and Experimental Studies of Catamaran’s Maneuverability in Complex Operating Conditions’.

The City of Varna presented its VARNA’2019 Team Award (‘Engineering Science’ section) to a team led by Assoc. Prof. Stefan Qyulevcheliev for the development of a ‘Method for Hydrodynamic Performance Evaluation of Underwater Vehicles Operating Near the Free-Surface During the Early Design Stages’.

The City of Varna presented its VARNA’2019 Individual Award (‘Engineering Science’ section) to Ass. Prof. Silvia Kirilova for the development of an ‘An Alternative Approach for Assessment of the Weather Factor in EEDI Formulation Using Statistical Ranking Theory’.

The Varna Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented its 2016 award in recognition of BSHC’s 40th anniversary, and its contribution to the regional economy.

First place at the Konkurs’2013 competition organized as a part of the May 24th celebrations of the Bulgarian Education and Culture and Slavonic Literature Day. The ceremony was held at the Institute of Metal Science, Equipment and Technologies “Acad. A. Balevski” with Centre for Hydro- and Aerodynamics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The award for best scientific and applied research in the field of ‘Scientific and Theoretical Development’ was presented to the project ‘Numerical Parametric Study of High-Speed Catamaran Wave Resistance’ with authors – Assoc. Prof. Stefan Kyulevcheliev and eng. Alexandrina Vasileva.
