BSHC uses software products, such as Rhinoceros, VISI and AutoCAD, to design scaled-down models of ships, floating platforms, screw propellers, nozzles, podded propellers, and water jets according to the strict tolerances required for conducting hydro/aerodynamic model tests.
In particular, hull-forms are generated, modified and their hydrostatic calculated in Rhinoceros; VISI is used to write NC codes for our two milling machines, as well as for the general arrangement of the measurement instrumentation inside the test models; while workshop drawings, schemes, and templates are created in AutoCAD.
